a small group leader is fun and a gift to your group! Here are
some points to remember to help you enjoy your time as a leader, meet
your goals, and serve your group.
» Host vs. Leader - What's the difference?
- If you want to start a small group - or have never lead one before - consider starting out as a Host.
- Have a heart for your church
- Open your home
- Serve a pot of coffee
- Turn on the DVD
- If you like it, consider receiving some training from your church and become a Leader.
- Contact your church's small group volunteer or pastor and recieve some small group training from your church
- Help your group grow in the 5 purposes:
- Help them connect in authentic community - fellowship
- Help them to grow to be like Christ - discipleship
- Help them develop their SHAPE to minister - service
- Help them share their life mission - evangelize
- Help them surrender their lives for God's pleasure - worship
